Hands-on communication training

Communication skills and the ability to read people are something we need in all walks of life. Good, informed communication achieves more than a loaded gun. Communication is a skill, like any other, that can be learned and improved. This course is based on the common practices from the fields of intelligence and (military) security.
The goal is for the participant to become a more conscious communicator and effective negotiator. This very practical day will provide the ability to covertly shape conversations towards your objectives and identify the intentions of your conversational partner, among other skills.
The course consists of three parts:
The first part will take place before the start of the contact learning and consists of students completing a profiling questionnaire at a time that suits them. The results will be analyzed in the second phase of the course.
The second part (8h) takes the form of contact training, during which theory is acquired and situational exercises are carried out.
– Reading body language
– Building rapport
– Profiling people and analyzing profiles of the participants
– Techniques of eliciting information and ways of asking questions
– Planning and leading conversations
– Situational exercises
The third part (4 hours, same evening) is conducted in a public place in Tartu/Tallinn. Previously learned knowledge will be put to test in real life situations.
As we converse with people daily it might seem elementary. On the other hand, we might have developed a false sense of being great negotiators and people readers. The course will provide participants with both knowledge and confidence for performing in difficult situations. We will provide an opportunity to step out of the comfort zone and put your skills to the test.
The ‘How to Human’ course is carried out by instructor ‘R’ who calls himself the engineer of human minds.
